The CPI Retreat 2023 took place on June 1st and 2nd at the Max-Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim. The event brought together an extraordinary number of attendees—over 300 members of our scientific community, marking a new record in participation!

The retreat was an incredible display of the talents and achievements within our institute. We were amazed by the impressive number of 160 scientific posters presented by CPI researchers. It was a true celebration of the groundbreaking work and innovative ideas that flourish within the CPI. We congratulate Agatha Ribeiro da Silva,
Ilka Wittig, Emmanouil Solomonidis, Maria Drekolia, Poonam Sarode, Jaco Selle and Duc Minh Pham who received well-deserved poster prizes for their contributions.These two days were a true testament to the thriving and collaborative spirit of our community. We witnessed the power of stimulating discussions, the sharing of knowledge, and the nurturing of new ideas. Together, we continue to push the boundaries of cardio-pulmonary research and pave the way for future breakthroughs.A big thank you to the organizers, speakers, poster presenters, and each and every participant who contributed to the success of this retreat!
